Samanta has contributed to several forefront areas of experimental condensed matter physics, materials science, atomic and optical physics, metrology and nanotechnology. Her current research interest concerns the development of innovative and unconventional optical techniques for high-precision coordinate metrology and applications of machine learning techniques to accelerate and optimise the performance of 3D measurement systems.
