7 June 2023: Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) PhD Conference in Coventry
Members of the Manufacturing Metrology Team have joint projects with the Manufacturing Technology Centre and they will present their research work progress at this conference:
PhD candidate Samuel Ferris: Measurement of powder spreading dynamics in additive manufacturing.
PhD candidate Denis Sexton: Investigation into the sources of uncertainty in the optical measurement of gears.
PhD candidate Athanasios Pappas: Determination of topography fidelity with optical surface topography measuring.
12 - 16 June 2023: 23rd International Conference & Exhibition (EUSPEN, Copenhagen Denmark).
Members of the Manufacturing Metrology Team will attend this international conference to present their latest research advances in metrology, precision engineering, surface metrology, optical metrology and additive manufacturing: Dr Helia Hooshmand, Dr Adam Thompson, PhD candidates: Denis Sexton, Athanasios Pappas, Samuel Ferris and Michael Zhang.
26 - 29 June 2023: Optical Metrology technical conferences (SPIE Optical Metrology, Munich Germany).
Professor Samanta Piano and Dr Helia Hooshmand will present their research work at this conference specialised in different fields of Optical Metrology: (1) Optical Measurement Systems for Industrial Inspection; (2) Modeling Aspects in Optical Metrology; (3) Optical Methods for Inspection Characterization, and Imaging of Biomaterials; (4) Multimodal Sensing and Artificial Intelligence: Technologies and Applications; (5) Automated Visual Inspection and Machine Vision; (6) Optics for Arts, Architecture, and Archeology.
19 - 21 September 2023: Special Interest Group Meeting: Advancing Precision in Additive Manufacturing (EUSPEN, KU Leuven Belgium).
Dr Adam Thompson will attend this special interest group meeting in additive manufacturing.
17 - 20 September 2023: 15th International Symposium on Measurement Technology and Intelligent Instruments (ISMTII, COEX Seoul South Korea).
Professor Samanta Piano, Dr Helia Hooshmand, PhD Candidates Athanasios Pappas and Mingda Yang will attend this on-site conference to present recent progress in advanced measurement technologies developed in the Manufacturing Metrology Team.
