Visitors for Biomaterials Discovery

The Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, Sir Andrew Witty, visited the University on 14th November, which included a visit to the EPSRC Programme Grant in Next Generation Biomaterials Discovery. The Programme Grant was introduced by Prof Morgan Alexander discussing the work taking place to move Biomaterials Discovery into 3D. Sir Andrew Witty was then shown the Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF SIMS) lab by Andrew Hook and Britta Koch. Alessandro Carabelli, Jordan Thorpe, Dara O’Brien and Adam Dundas also presented posters to Sir Andrew Witty on their work in the area of Biomaterials Discovery.

Professor Shearer West visited the School of Pharmacy on the same day, and spoke to the Programme Grant about their ongoing research. Alessandro, Adam, Dara and Laurence Burroughs presented posters highlighting recent work to the Vice-Chancellor.
