Founded in 2011, the Centre for Translation and Comparative Cultural Studies brings together academic staff and postgraduate research students working in translation studies, comparative literature, and comparative cultural studies.
Particular research strengths of the Centre include audio-visual translation, literary translation, postcolonial translation, translation and international relations, the translation of philosophical thought, comparative literary and cultural studies within Europe and beyond, and comparative intellectual history.
Our research activities include presentations by staff and postgraduate students, guest speaker events, and international conferences and workshops. Students, staff, and members of the public are warmly invited to our events.
