Frontiers of Engineering for Development

 

Helena I. Gomes was selected to participate in the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Frontiers of Engineering for Development symposium with the theme “WASHing away inequalities”, in Mexico City from 28 to 31 May 2019. (Further information here)

Frontiers of Engineering for Development brings together 60 of the best early- and mid-career researchers and practitioners from industry, academia, NGOs and the public sector in multidisciplinary workshops that address fundamental development challenges.

The objectives of these symposia are to encourage collaborative work that addresses international development challenges and promotes cross-disciplinary thinking among the next generation of engineering leaders. Competitively allocated seed funding is available to strengthen the collaborations developed at the symposia.
