Description

This free half day event will focus on self-esteem and self-confidence for young people and is targeted at pupils in Year 11 and 12 and their teachers. The aim is to encourage an open forum for students to learn about teenage stress and how to cope with challenges such as eating disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour, cyberbullying and exams stress. There will be a range of small workshops to give students the opportunity to freely express their own story through arts-based and writing activities. All sessions will be delivered by an artist, academics and experienced staff from local eating disorder and children’s mental health charities. This event is part of a wider research project on wellbeing, mental health issues and eating disorders.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

This event is fully booked now but please contact Dr Heike Bartel if you are interested in any aspect relating to the project.
