Description

Dr Alessio D’Angelo (icPSP) will deliver the Keynote Speech of the 8th Global Social Sciences Graduate Student conference of the Hong Kong Baptist University. The theme of the conference is ‘Vision and Challenges: Sharing an Equal and Sustainable Society’, with conference papers on a range of themes including: gender, race, class and intersections of inequality in domestic and social spheres; Sports and Health inequalities; the roles of technology to enhance social equality in the attainment of sustainable development goals; global climate change and policy; historical tensions and inequality.

Dr D’Angelo’s keynote speech will review recent trends and patterns of inequality across Europe, focusing on some compelling case-studies, and examining their complex relationship with broader socio-political processes at regional and global level.
