IAM held its first event in the Centre for Advanced Study on June 4th 2014. Media professionals, renowned media industry scholars and postgraduate researchers came together to discuss the ways in which academics and industry can collaborate towards cutting edge research outcomes. Several workshops were held, giving training in the practical, ethical and legal issues involved in doing media industry research.
