Before you arrive

Before you arrive in September there are several key tasks you'll need to complete.

1

Order your hoodie, lab coat and textbooks

We have put together an online shop where you'll find course related clothing, equipment and books.

As a ‘welcome to the course’ we would like to provide you with a free Cancer Sciences hoodie and lab coat. To order, go to our online shop and select your size.

Your hoodie and lab coat will be available to collect during Welcome Week.

The store also contains the two core textbooks which will be a key part of the first year reading list. We have negotiated a great deal that is cheaper than Amazon.

How to order

To order your clothing and books online, go to the Cancer Sciences online shop.

To create an account:

  • Select ‘My Account’ to create an account.

  • You'll need an email address and password to set this up - if you have been sent your university email you can use this, otherwise please use an email address that you use regularly.

Shopping:

  • Select ‘Product Catalogue’ on the left-hand side, then ‘Schools and Departments’ and choose ‘Centre for Cancer Sciences’.

  • Select the items you require and the quantity by clicking ‘Add to Basket’.

  • Once you have selected all the items you require, go to your shopping basket and then proceed to checkout.

Hoodies will be free of charge, but any other items will require a card payment.

Please note the deadline for ordering your hoodies, lab coats and books is Tuesday 29 August 2023 if you would like to receive these during Welcome Week.

If you miss this deadline, you'll still be able to order items, but you will not receive them until a later date.

If you have any issues or queries regarding clothing and equipment please email us.

2

View the course handbook

You'll receive a link by email from us with your course handbook that you can read before you arrive.

The handbook contains all the information you should require on the course including university policies and how to access student support.

Once you have fully registered onto the course, you'll be given access to Moodle (the student online learning platform) where you'll be able to download the handbook along with the module guidebooks and other useful documents.

3
