If you want to make a positive difference on your course and represent your peers, then this could be a great role for you.

What is a course rep?

Course reps are a vital part of the student voice. Through gathering feedback from your peers, sitting in key meetings and by lobbying or campaigning for positive change, you can make a real difference to the academic experience of those on your course.

About the Students' Union

Your Students’ Union (SU) is at the heart of student life.

They are an independent, student-led organisation that represents your needs, protects your rights and, when it comes to making important decisions that affect you, makes sure your voice is heard. And as a University of Nottingham student, you’re already a valued and celebrated member of the SU.

From its home in the Portland Building, the SU works hard to make sure your university experience is the best it can be, from the day you arrive to the day you graduate. They’re here to make sure that you can experience a huge range of social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities, make changes by standing up for what you believe in, and find support when you need a helping hand.

PharmSoc

Welcome to the Pharmacy Society, the society for anyone studying a degree within the School of Pharmacy.

Who are we?

PharmSoc gives you the opportunity to integrate and make new friends. We offer a variety of events such as:

  • welfare sessions for your physical and mental health
  • extra academic events to help you with the world of work;
  • multiple social events for everyone
  • sporting events
  • charity fundraising
  • opportunities to meet new people
  • alumni and guest speakers

Becoming a member of PharmSoc is the best way to meet like-minded people, make friends outside of your degree and have fun alongside your studies. It is important that we can connect, have a sense of identity, and create a community to support and unite one another.

I love PharmSoc because it brings us students together as a community and allows us to communicate outside of lectures.

- Year 4 pharmacy student

Our committee brings together members from all Pharmacy courses. With students from every year group to represent everyone's voices. There are many ways to get involved. Even committee roles are available if you want to fully immerse yourself into PharmSoc.

We would love to welcome you into our PharmSoc family. With lots of opportunities to share and create new memories.
