The University of Nottingham's Centre for Conflict, Security and Terrorism is pleased to announce the first of this year's Highlight Speaker series, where we will be inviting two esteemed guests to deliver and to respond to a lecture entitled 'Does Terrorism Work: The Case of the Provisional IRA'. 

We are delighted that the Highlight Speaker joining us will be Professor Richard English CBE (Queen's University Belfast) - whose research focuses on the politics and history of nationalism, political violence, and terrorism, with a particular focus on Ireland and Britain. His latest book is Does Terrorism Work? A History (OUP, 2016).

Joining the event as a Respondent will be Dr Robert Mauro, Executive Director of the Global Leadership Institute and Director of the Irish Institute, Boston College.

This event is free to attend, but please note this event is strictly for University of Nottingham staff and students only.
