Overview
This course will provide an update on recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of immune-mediated disease in dogs and cats, including endocrine, neurological, skin and haematological disease. In many cases of immune-mediated disease.

- Mechanisms of immune disease (emphasizing the relationship to effective treatment).
- Updated disease descriptions of pemphigus and cutaneous lupus, masticatory myositis, myasthenia gravis, haemolytic anaemia, and immune-mediated thrombocytopenia and immune-mediated endocine disease
- Diagnosis
- A practical approach to immunosuppressive therapy
Learning objectives
By the end of the course the delegates should have an understanding and ability in the following areas:
- Describe the key features of immune-mediated disease in the dog and cat
- Discuss the range of immunosuppressive drugs available and which to choose, knowing the possible adverse effects and how to monitor for these.
- Develop a broad understanding of immune-mediated diagnosis and treatment that can be applied to other diseases.
