Laura Dexter

Laura graduated in medicine at the University of Nottingham in 2000, having also gained an intercalated BMedSci. She has since completed preregistration and senior house officer training at various hospitals and has worked as a Specialist Registrar in Clinical Virology since 2002. She has successfully taken the Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and Membership of the Royal College of Pathologists (part one).

Laura joined the Liver group in Tissue Engineering as a clinical research fellow in July 2004 and is researching a liver co-culture model which can be used to investigate the pathogenesis of the Hepatitis C virus.

John Hammond

John Hammond

JJohn is a Wellcome Trust & Royal College of Surgeons (England) Research Fellow. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2000, after which he entered the Nottingham Surgical Training Scheme. He completed his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2003. Prior to commencing his specialist surgical training in general surgery, he is currently undertaking a PhD in liver tissue engineering.
