Biography

John joined the University of Nottingham as a Lecturer in Economics in February 2010. His research is on 'Household Finance' and focuses on household credit and debt, financial literacy and behaviour in housing markets. He has also undertaken consultancy work for the Bank of England, Her Majesty's Treasury, The Department for Business and various charities and private organisations. He teaches introductory macroeconomics at undergraduate level and applied macroeconomics at graduate level. For 2010 - 2013 he is working on an ESRC funded project entitled 'Financial Literacy and Consumer Over-Indebtedness.'
