Research Summary

Drought propagation and influencing factors:

Investigating aspect of past and future environmental change that is relevant globally, regionally and locally: droughts. Studying the occurrence of droughts globally. Aim of my PhD research is to investigate for the factors that influence the transition from meteorological to hydrological drought. This research offers the opportunity to enhance current understanding on the vulnerability to drought, and risks in the future posed by climate change.

Past Research

Been a part of the project of Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt. of India, which emphasizes on "The estimation and modelling of Evapotranspiration in lesser Himalayas". Gained valuable experience in surface energy balance, working on energy fluxes in lesser Himalayas. Worked on Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land (SEBAL) model for the computation of actual evapotranspiration in the Lesser Himalayas.
