Research Summary

My research interests focus on the interface between remote sensing, informatics and ecology.

I have been fortunate to work on a variety of projects with a range of collaborators, including >36 PhD students who have worked under my supervision. This work has been supported by over £1 million in research funding and has resulted in ~160 refereed journal articles, 8 books and >175 other publications (book chapters, conference papers etc). My publications have been cited >8,000 times and I have a 'h' index of 50.

I serve on a variety of committees (e.g. sub-panel C17 of REF2014) and I am currently on the editorial board of 10 journals:
