Biography

I received my PhD on the subject of "A Sustainability Report Proposal for Cooperatives in Turkey", at Trakya University, Turkey. Before joining the University of Nottingham, I was a research fellow at Nottingham Trent University. During my time there I participated in the Sustainability in Enterprise (SiE) research project, focusing on organisational change for sustainability. I also worked as a lecturer for five years at the Cooperative Management Department in Tekirdag Namik Kemal University, Turkey, and spent one year as a visiting PhD Researcher at the Business School, Sheffield Hallam University in 2018-2019.

Beside my academic career, I worked as a consultant for a SME construction & consulting company in the UK. I also worked in the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution on the IPARD programme to help agricultural holdings to reach EU standards and help development of rural areas in Turkey.

My research interests are sustainability reporting, sustainable development, SDGs, CSR, and cooperatives.
