nubiz Bulletin

May/Jun 2016

Welcome to the latest nubiz e-bulletin with all the latest news, developments and events from the Nottingham University Business School alumni community.

The Business School continues to push boundaries and enhance its deserved reputation as an innovator. In this issue you can read about some of our amazing staff who won 'Staff Oscars' for their ground breaking teaching, students from our UK and Malaysia campuses who have scooped national prizes for their enterprising activities, and even an academic who has become a Knight! In an effort to make our world leading research more publicly accessible, Professors Jim Devlin and Laurie Cohen recently took part in the highly original 'Seriously Funny Business', a brand new series of events that sees University of Nottingham academics, researchers and professionals debate important and topical issues, moderated by some of the UK’s most popular stand-up comedians (see photo above).

Nottingham really does bring people together.....Yu-Fun Eoon and Ching Lung Chong first met as course mates on the BA (Hons) Accounting, Finance and Management. They fell in love and will be married on the 14th May 2016 in Brunei. Yu-Fun now works at YTL Corporation in Kuala Lumpur and Ching Lung works at Archipelago Logistics in Brunei Darussalam. We wish them every happiness for the future. View a photo of the happy couple
