Continued success in The Economist MBA ranking 2015

19 October 2015

Nottingham University Business School has once more ranked in The Economist’s list of the top 100 full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes. The School appears on a global list that includes some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including Harvard, London Business School, and INSEAD.

UK top ten

In The Economist’s 2015 full-time MBA ranking, the School is placed 74 globally and in the UK’s top ten against tough competition from North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Only fifteen UK business schools appear in The Economist ranking this year and Nottingham outperformed several, including Said Business School at Oxford, the University of Edinburgh Business School, and Lancaster University Management School.

Global top 40 for educational experience

An important element of the ranking measures students’ views of ‘Personal Development and Educational Experience’ during their MBA course, a category in which Nottingham rated highly, placing in the global top 40 and 6 in the UK.

The Economist ranks the world’s top 100 business schools based on two surveys: the composition and quality of MBA students, faculty and programme; plus alumni and current participants’ evaluation of their experience on the MBA.

The Economist ranking is distinctive for being the most "student-centric" of all the MBA rankings because it claims to measure the way business schools meet the demands that students have of an MBA programme.

Professor Alistair Bruce, Dean of Nottingham University Business School, said: “This ranking surveys our full-time MBAs while they are at the Business School, so it is gratifying to see the benefits of our ongoing focus on the quality of our MBA programme, which is already endorsed by our AMBA and EQUIS accreditations.”

Nottingham’s performance reflects its commitment to providing outstanding programmes for students worldwide and endorses its reputation as one of the leading players in global business education.
