The European Research Council - large scale funding for 'excellence' in the Arts and Social Sciences

Target audience: researchers and academics at all levels, from the faculties of Arts and Social Sciences

Why you should attend: Despite the outcome of the EU referendum, large grants for researchers at all levels (Starting Grant, Consolidator Grant and Advanced Grant) are still accessible to Nottingham researchers and academics. Dr Alex Mullen from the Department of Classics and Dr Jeremy Taylor from the Department of History will summarise their research projects, funded under the ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants scheme. Dr Martin Pickard, Nottingham’s proposal preparation consultant, will also talk about maximising your chances of winning one of these highly prestigious awards.

The event will include a Q&A session chaired by Matt Rackley, Research Development Executive; Europe.
