Description
routes to policy impact

The Nottingham Policy Research Impact Network, with the Governance & Public Policy RPA, are hosting a ‘Routes to Policy Impact’ conference aimed at highlighting to colleagues the opportunities and resources available to support policy impact across Parliament and Government Departments.

Chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Exchange, Dame Jessica Corner, the day will feature a range of external speakers including the Government Office for Science and the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, who will share their experience and advice for engaging policymakers with your research. Internal speakers will outline how this policymaker engagement can support research funding bids and make strong REF case studies.

Academics with a research interest in Governance and Public Policy may also be interested in the GaPP RPA research network session immediately prior to this conference.

Panel Guests include Professor Derek McAuley, Co-Director, Horizon Digital Economy Hub and Special Advisor to House of Lords European Union Committee, Dr Elizabeth Surkovic, Deputy Director, Growth and Resilience, Government Office for Science and Professor Jonathan Grant, Director of the King’s Policy Institute and Assistant Principal for Strategy at King’s College London
