Description

Join Ruth Maxey and Catherine Rottenberg (American and Canadian Studies) at Waterstones Nottingham to discuss the launch of Michelle Obama's memoir Becoming, and how it sits within the current literary tradition of life writing.

They will also be discussing the question of neoliberal feminism in contemporary culture, if the agendas of western capitalist democracies have hijacked feminism in the modern world, and if this is this reflected in contemporary women's memoirs.

Find out more and book your ticket via the Waterstones website.

All welcome.

Congratulations also to Catherine Rottenberg (ACS) on the featuring of her book, The Rise of Neoliberal Feminism, as the Times Higher Book of the Week’.
