Current Research

The research of Dr. Magassouba aims to enhance the interactivity and user-friendliness of collaborative robots by incorporating natural language as a means of interaction. In fact, an intuitive way to interact with robots is through verbal communication. Such an interaction does not require any expertise in robotics. For example, with verbal communication, an operator should be able to decrease the speed of the robot when feeling tired in a collaborative task. With recent breakthroughs in natural language processing and AI, his research explores multimodal models that allow robots to understand and dynamically adapt their behavior to non-expert users.
