Centre for the Study of Political Ideologies

Highlights from 'Re-engagement or rebellion' event

On Wednesday 29 April 2015, the Centre for the Study of Political Ideologies hosted a pre-elections symposium, titled 'Re-engagement or rebellion?' The event was jointly organised by two specialist groups of the Political Studies Association – Anti-politics and (De)politicisation and the Anarchist Studies Network – and sponsored by the PSA “Pushing the Boundaries” track.

The forum brought together prominent academics and activists representing the two perspectives of re-engagement in voting and active citizenship, and rejecting representative democracy in favour of a rebellious politics that points beyond capitalism and the state.

Watch edited highlights of the event on our podcasts and videos page.
