Current Research

My current research is related to dynamic soil-structure-interaction focusing particularly on the behavior of shallow foundations during earthquake loading. In addition I am investigating soil-pipeline interaction for pipelines experiencing large cyclic axial movements induced by thermal fluctuations. Thus far I have predominantly used geotechnical physical modelling, particularly centrifuge modelling, to perform my research and as such have a particular interest in this area of research.
