Doctoral Event Report: PG CCN Annual Conference

This year's Postgraduate Children and Childhood Network Annual Conference took place on 6th May at the University of Nottingham, entitled 'Children's Rights, Equalities, Participation and Research.' The ESRC DTC was delighted to support the event through it's Doctoral Event Grant funding scheme.

Laura Outhwaite and Helen Wood, the event's organisers said: "The day went well, with an engaged group of students. The quality of the PG presentations was excellent and the keynotes from David Stewart and Sarah Goff were very though provoking and engaging- Sarah got us doing a communication based activity where we couldn't speak but had convey a message. It really got people thinking about our role as researchers working with vulnerable groups of children. The Q&A panel was also very engaging and there were lots of insightful discussions about children's rights and human rights more generally."
