Recent graduate, Omar Clarke, wins dissertation competition

Congratulations to recent graduate, Omar Clarke, who was the winner of this year's RGS-IBG Race, Culture and Equality Working Group dissertation competition.

His dissertation was on identity, performance and the Notting Hill Carnival, and the competition judges stated: "We were impressed by your ability to identity the various practices and contexts associated with the Notting Hill Carnival and bring them into conversation with theoretical debates over identity and culture".

Omar was supervised at different stages by Susanne Seymour and David Matless.
