Could self-driving cars be on our roads in the next few years? Tesla motors have promised automated motorway driving, while Volvo Cars in Sweden are planning a highly ambitious 100-car pilot in Gothenburg for 2017.

In this Royal Academy of Engineering lecture, join Professor Tim Gordon, Head of the School of Engineering at The University of Lincoln, as he attempts to answer the key questions: “What is the risk of a collision in a self-driving car?” and “How and when will that risk become acceptable?”
