On Friday, Professor Olympia Bekou, Head of HRLC's International Criminal Law Unit, will deliver a lecture at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge. The lecture is entitled The ICC at 15: prospects and challenges.
15 years after the coming into force of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, international criminal justice is thought to be in crisis. Despite the many positive developments, in terms of completing the institution-building process as well as emerging jurisprudence, the Court is also facing a number of challenges. Universality, complementarity, cooperation, as well as effectiveness and efficiency are all areas of concern.
The lecture will be held at Finley Library in Cambridge at 1pm. View more information.
