Intellectual Property Protection in China: Evaluating Compliance with the TRIPS Agreement

IAPS, together with a substantial award from the Nottingham University Business School’s internal Spark fund, will be funding my research trip to China in April 2015. I will be spending two weeks in China conducting semi-structured interviews with business and legal professionals in order to gain an understanding of the current system of intellectual property protection in China. This interview data will update my doctoral research from 2005-6 on the compliance of the Chinese intellectual property system with the WTO Agreement on Trade-related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement), with the aim of publishing this research as a single-authored monograph.
