Research in the Division focuses on the development of innovative safe and sustainable technologies in the fields of manufacturing, harvesting and conserving resources, and the efficient and environmentally sustainable use of energy.

Projects range from fundamental science to product and process development. Activity is supported by close links with industry and other leading research institutes as well as well-equipped laboratories and advanced computing resources.
