Successful conclusion of Public Procurement: Global Revolution VII

The seventh in the Global Revolution series of conferences was held at the University of Nottingham (East Midlands Conference Centre) on 15-16 June 2015.

All Public Procurement Research Group (PPRG) members undertook significant work on this event, particularly Peter Trepte who has had the main responsibility for the event, including the extensive programme of speakers.

The event was extremely successful, as always, providing unique networking opportunities. There were almost 300 participants, and there were speakers/delegates from most of the major international organisations involved in procurement regulation (including a significant number from each of the WTO, World Bank and EBRD), as well as from academia, government, and the private sector.

The event was sponsored by Achilles Information and our collaborating partners were:

  • WTO
  • International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management
  • The Procurement Lawyers’ Association
  • African Public Procurement Research Unit (Stellenbosch University) (South Africa)
  • George Washington University (US)
  • University of Durham
  • Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (China)
  • Forum Vergabe (Germany)
  • Centre for Public Procurement and PPP (Poland)
  • University of Lagos (Nigeria)

The next event, GRVIII, will again be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in June 2016. Advance notice will be sent out soon.
