New book publication for Dr Róisín Mulgrew - Research Handbook on the International Penal System

Research Handbook on the International Penal System

Dr Róisín Mulgrew and Dr Denis Abels (University of Amsterdam) co-edited the Research Handbook on the International Penal System, which was published today by Edward Elgar Publishing.

Drawing on the expertise and experience of contributors from a wide range of academic, professional and judicial backgrounds, the Research Handbook critically analyses the laws, policies and practices that govern detention, punishment and the enforcement of sentences in the international criminal justice context.

Professor William Schabas (Middlesex University and Leiden University) has praised the book stating, "A huge gap in the literature is filled with this authoritative volume. The issues at the delivery point of the international justice system, when convicted criminals are punished, receive comprehensive treatment by the world's experts in this field. This work is an indispensable addition to any international criminal law library."

The book is available in hardback and as an e-book.
