Viva success - Joshua Ngulu

Dr Gamze Erdem Türkelli, Joshua Ngulu and Professor Nigel White

The School of Law are pleased to announce that Joshua passed his PhD viva voce examination on Tuesday 30 January 2024.

Joshua’s thesis ‘Integrating Cultural Heritage with the Development of Blue Economy in Kenya: A Framework for Holding the State Accountable’ was supervised by Anna La Chimia (Professor of Law and Development, University of Nottingham) and Dominic McGoldrick (Professor of International Human Rights Law, University of Nottingham).   

The examiners were Nigel White (Professor of Public International Law and Deputy Head of School (Research), University of Nottingham) and Dr Gamze Erdem Türkelli (Assistant Research Professor at the Law and Development Research Group, University of Antwerp).  Dr Nicholas Gervassis (Assistant Professor in Law (Technology and Data), University of Nottingham) served as the chair of the examination.
