Biography

I am a highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic professional. I qualified as a Solicitor and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors on 15 June 2004. I have significant experience in the field of family and matrimonial law. I decided to change my employment and move into teaching in 2010 in order to pursue a more rewarding career. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and have never looked back. I was awarded QTLS status in April 2013 and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in March 2022. I have significant experience of delivering a broad spectrum of Law modules from Level 3 to Level 7.

Expertise Summary

My main areas of teaching and expertise are Criminal Law and Family and Matrimonial Law. I have also previously taught the Law of Tort, as well as a number of legal skills modules, including interviewing and professional conduct and ethics.

I have delivered a wide spectrum of modules, including Family Law, Criminal Law, Tort and Criminology Modules from Undergraduate Foundation Year to LPC / SQE and Masters students. I am an experienced Personal Tutor / Academic Coach. I also have experience in assessing, marking and drafting examination papers.
