Research Topic

How effective is the European Neighborhood Policy in transposing EU democratic values into the legal order of countries involved in ENP? (Armenia)

The research is aimed at revealing the scope and nature of the European Neighbourhood Policy as regards its ability of creating a framework for sharing EU democratic values with neighbouring countries such as Armenia. The research will address certain particular issues amongst which are the interrelation of old legal instruments of international cooperation and ENP legal instruments, as well as their effectiveness in transposing democratic values into the legal orders of other countries. Within the research comparative analysis of democratic values of European Union and those of Armenia will be undertaken. Also an attempt will be made to reveal the main factors affecting the process of transposition of democratic values within ENP, the scope of possibilities offered by the EU and the willingness of the country to adopt EU democratic values in their legal orders
