Funding

MSc scholarships

The School of Life Sciences is offering 12 x £1,000 scholarships for successful students who register to undertake one of the MSc courses listed below to commence study in September 2018.

These scholarships are available to international, home and European Union students, who have not already received any other scholarships that are equivalent to 50% or more of the course tuition fees. This is a competitive scheme and students will be awarded a scholarship on academic and individual merit.  

Application deadlines

Home/European Union students - The closing date for scholarship applications is 12 mid-day (UK time) Friday 17  August 2018. Successful applicants will be notified via email by 31 August 2018.

International students - The closing date for scholarship applications is 12 mid-day (UK time) Friday 25 May 2018. Successful applicants will be notified via email by Friday 8 June 2018.

In order to apply for the scholarship you must have a conditional offer of a place of study. Details on how to apply on-line for the above courses can be found at how to apply.

Further information regarding funding is available for current and prospective students.

Fully funded places for selected courses are available for health and social care professionals working in the East Midlands and having the support of their manager. These places are funded through the East Midlands Healthcare Workforce Deanery (SHA) contract with The University of Nottingham. The Government have announced new Postgraduate Loans of up to £10,280 for students studying a taught or research masters course.
