My background is in petroleum geochemistry and environmental science, with research interests in oil generation and biodegradation, together with fate of carbon in the environment.

Co-author of shale gas research paper published in Nature Communications which looked at the capacity of UK shale resource (fracking potential). This featured extensively in national print and broadcast as well as international media.
