Biography

Graduated with a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2018. Followed this with three years working in the offshore energy sector, designing heavy steel fabrications and mechanical handling systems along with supporting vessel mobilisations. Completed two years of a three year part-time MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde during this time, forgoing the dissertation to begin a PhD on the "Design of metal structures of custom composition using additive manufacturing". The research aims to establish guidelines for the transition from one metal to another using laser powder bed fusion, ensuring that reliable parts are fabricated with no structural defects.

Having been a part of the formula student team during my undergraduate degree, I have been a design judge at the UK competition since 2020 event.
