Faculty of Engineering

Engineering is one of the strongest faculties at Nottingham with all departments recognised as being amongst the best in higher education.

We aim to recruit, inspire, and deliver highly-skilled graduates to the labour market who will enable the transition towards a more sustainable, low carbon society that will bring with it improved economic and health benefits.

Engineers and architects in the Faculty are at the forefront of new research and developments. We are working on new, sustainable technologies that will change the way we build our homes and travel and communicate around the globe. We are playing a pivotal role in developing new medical technologies that will enable better care and treatment in our hospitals, and developing products and manufacturing systems that are sustainable and economical.

Student fees and finance for 2012/13

The University of Nottingham has announced plans to set undergraduate fees for full-time home and EU students at £9,000 from 2012. Fees do not have to be paid up-front and a generous package of bursaries will be available to support home students from lower-income families. Well over a third of our students will be eligible for our core bursaries, which offer up to £3,000 for each year of undergraduate study.
