George Green Institute for Electromagnetics Research

The Institute has considerable expertise in the development and application of numerical methods to the simulation of engineering systems. It pioneered the development of the Transmission Line Modelling (TLM) method in the early 1970s and has continued ever since to be a centre of expertise for this important and now well established technique. The fundamental development of TLM continues with the introduction recently of hybrid nodes, a multigid mesh, the supercondensed node, and aims at increasing efficiency and versatility of the method.
