Services available at the Sutton Bonington Student Services Centre include:

Academic and Study Support

Academic Support provide a personal and practical approach to academic study. The service also provides specialist academic support for students with dyslexia, dyspraxia and other specific learning difficulties.

Career Development

The Centre for Career Development (CCD) is here to provide careers advice and guidance.

Counselling Service

The Counselling Service is here to support you in your study and work at the University by offering confidential, professional help with any personal, emotional or mental health problems that you may have whilst at the University.

Disability Support

Disability Support co-ordinates support and access arrangements for disabled students and those with long term medical conditions.

Faith Support and Advice

Faith Support and Advice services are here to offer support and advice to all members of the University community.

Financial Support

Information and advice on student funding, loans, grants and hardship funds.

Drop-ins every Monday 12.45pm-2.45pm during term time, by appointment only.  For further information about the financial support available, please visit the Financial Support pages.

International Support

The International Office is here to help and advise international students on issues such as immigration, employment, finance, personal / family concerns, and academic difficulties. 

Appointments are available every alternative Tuesday from 2:00pm-5:00pm. To book an appointment, please contact the Student Services Centre Reception on 0115 95 16004.

Health Promotion Advisor

The Health Promotion Advisor is here to promote the health and wellbeing of students.

There is a drop-in service which takes place between 11.45am-1.45pm on Mondays during term-time, in room A8, Main Building.

Please drop in for information on sexual health issues and signposting to services. You can also get tested for Chlamydia and register and pick up for the C-Card scheme.

To help you to excel in the classroom, HealthyU is here to provide advice and information on a range of health issues important to students
