Academic Support One-to-One Sessions and Workshops

The support offered by Academic Support is designed to complement the support and advice that departments provide for students with Specific Learning Differences throughout their course. Please do check what is on offer in your School.  Many materials used in our workshops and teaching sessions are available through our Study Resources pages and further useful advice can be found on the Studying Effectively site.

We are available to meet by appointment with students in the Portland Building, University Park Campus (Monday-Friday); Room A06 XU Yafen Building (Amenities Building), Jubilee campus (Thursday); Sutton Bonington Campus (Wednesday); Student Service Centre QMC (Tuesday); and at the Medical School at the Royal Derby Hospital (Tuesday/Thursday). Revision and Examinations Workshop

All the workshop materials on revision and exam strategies can be found online on our Study Resources pages. 

Although this workshop will not be running this academic year, the exam anxiety website offers lots of additional advice on managing exams.  This site has been created by the Counselling Service
