Dr Rolf Wiesemes

 

Senior Research Fellow

Dr Rolf Wiesemes is responsible for co-ordinating, supporting and developing all VLL projects and capital VLL initiatives across the University of Nottingham in collaboration with the VLL core and management teams.  Rolf manages and coordinates the four key VLL research strands: Interactive Whiteboard uses in Higher Education, multiple display technologies in HE, video conferencing for learning and teaching in HE and video-editing uses for learning and teaching in HE. In partnership with the rest of the VLL core team, he is currently developing research links with a range of internal and external research partners such as the Learning Sciences Research Institute and the University of Eastern Finland’s Research and Development unit for ICT in Education. As part of his role, he co-supervises PhD students in the field of visual and technology supported learning. He is also starting to combine his other key research interests in the fields of foreign language / bilingual education and Peace Education with the use of visual learning technologies in both formal and informal learning settings.
