Hazel Pot Beetle--An Overview
This short video gives excellent real life, close up footage of a Hazel Pot Beetle. An orange and black insect that has the typical - if slightly squarish - 'beetle' shape. Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop
In this activity, Students design an experiment to model a leaky faucet and determine the amount of water wasted due to the leak. Using the data they gather in a table, students graph and write an equation for a line of best fit. They express their results with multiple representations and use the results to make predictions. This activity will build an understanding of variable, the relationship between variables, and generalizing these relationships.
