In November 2010, ten months after a magnitude 7.0 earthquake flattened huge sections of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, a team of geologists commissioned by the United Nations set out to make the first detailed soil map of the city. Armed with sledgehammers and vibration sensors, the scientists surveyed how soils throughout Port-au-Prince either amplify or muffle seismic vibrations. Bill Richmond was a black man who ran his own business in 1800's London. A champion boxer he took on white boxer Tom Cribb, who was younger and heavier in a national title fight in 1805. He lost the fight but used his earnings to set up a pub and boxing academy where he trained the likes of Lord Byron. Leg traction is done by holding the leg by the ankle. The leg is pulled upward until the buttock starts to be lifted off the mat. The knee should maintain a flexed angle.
