Graphing Lines Using a Table of Values
This video clip explains how to use a table of values to plot points and connect them. There are several other methods of graphing lines, including using a point and the slope. Sometimes graphing lines using an equation involves the same methods as using a table of values. Since we graph lines in the coordinate plane, it is necessary to understand how to connect graphs, tables and equations. (2:27)
Equation Intercepts
This video clip describes how the x- and y-intercepts of a line, or linear equation intercepts, are often used in problems involving lines and their graphs. Linear equation intercepts are important points to be able to understand and decipher in applications of linear equations problems and can also be used when graphing lines. The y-intercept is used when writing an equation in slope-intercept form. (1:42)

Andrew Jackson: Hero of New Orleans
The War of 1812 was America's response to the British Orders in Council which saw the US Navy humiliated and the capitol being burned. This video is about Andrew Jackson actions in saving New Orleans and how he recruited both pirates and free blacks to defend the city. The video does a good job of fighting this battle, that actually took place after the war was over.
Horace Mann - The Father Of American Education
This 10:37 minute video goes into detail about the accomplishments of Horace Mann using photos from the time period. The video does an excellent job of breaking down Mann's beliefs into eight different areas. One of the better videos about Mann and what he wished for the nation's youth. Good quotes. Best for older students and teachers. Moves slowly and presents examples.
