This video lesson investigates the concept of volume as the amount of space that an object takes up. The host shows how various substances have the same volume even though they have different
masses. One activity shows water displacement. It explains a unit cube as a standard unit for measuring volume and demonstrates how to determine the volume of an object by finding out how many unit cubes it contains. (14:01)
