A Unit of Kalmyks Murdered the Jews of Odessa in Akmechetka Village
Iosif Vergilis who was born in 1934 in Odessa testifies about a unit of Kalmyk collaborators that carried out a mass murder in Akmechetka, a village in Domanevka County where Jews from Odessa had been concentrated.

Dr. Michael Matheny presented a lecture entitled, "Carrying the War to the Enemy, American Operational Art to 1945 as part of the United States Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) Perspectives in Military History lecture Series.
