Indiana Senator, Homer E. Capehart owned Capehart Farms in Daviess County near Washington, Indiana. On August 27, 1938, he organized the Republican Cornfield Convention to be held on his land. St. Joseph's College, Collegeville, Jasper County, Indiana
St. Joseph's College was founded in 1889 and opened in 1891. In its early years it was both a high school and junior college. It became a four year college in 1936 and remained all male until 1968.
